The Gnarly Dog (or Big Dog) is a hard chine and fairly flat V-shaped bottom kayak with some rocker and fine ends towards bow and stern for best manoeuvrability. The Gnarly Dog is a good expedition kayak for in multi-day trips and paddlers who do not comfortably fit in the Husky and want to have a larger cockpit and need to carry some more gear. Thanks to it’s low profile it’s a very easy kayak to roll. The Gnarly Dog is an evolution of the Husky design and sits – in terms of size – between the Husky and the Mastif.
